Purchasing A Plane

By

There are a few choices that may influence how you fly on a private air charter. Your first and most basic choice, the one that most customers will ultimately choose, is hiring a jet through a service that owns a fleet of jets. The service arranges everything for you, just as they would if you bought a ticket for a standard commercial airline flight; the difference being the level of service, comfort and privacy that flying privately afford you.

There really is no comparison between the two when it comes to those three important attributes. You get a level of service and hospitality that just isn’t seen in the commercial airlines anymore. You could also think of it in the terms that a private jet charter is like having a flying office that has all of the things that you would need to get your job done, the only difference being that you’re on your way to your destination instead of wasting time back in the office on the ground.

It can be a lifesaver when it comes to saving time and money. The second choice that you have for flying in a private charter jet is to own the jet; which in itself has multiple options. First, you can purchase the plane outright, but having a service take care of all the details is going to be your most convenient option. Unless you want to plan all of the flights and arrange the crew and all of the other details, it’s better to pay maintenance and service companies to do that for you.

You do not want to worry about upkeep and hangar expenses and logging a flight plan, there are people which could do that for you. But there is another choice when it comes to purchasing a jet charter, and that’s a fractional ownership program. This program is sort of an entry level program for owning a jet charter in the sense that you do not actually own the entire jet.

As its name implies, you own a fraction of the jet, the fraction depending on how much air time you need and how much money you pay for the jet. You do have a choice in these matters of course and you can pick the size of the aircraft and how many hours you are going to require the plane for the year. You share the jet with other owners and might never even fly in your exact aircraft, but an equivalent that is available.

Sometimes there may be a medical problem happen while we are on a trip, go to internationalaircharter.com to locate an ambulance jet charter to assist in this situation. They have professionals available to assist and they will have a air evac lifeteam if it is required.

Your Business Can Fly High

By

When looking at all of your options when it comes to flying, there is a clear choice when it comes to corporate needs. For many companies, there is a lot of flying involved and when this flying involves multiple people from the same location all having the same destination, then chartering a flight makes a lot of sense.

Numerous large companies buy their own private jet, which in some instances can be worth the costs. But for many organizations it is not worth the initial expense and the monthly upkeep charges to have a plane ready all the time. In addition to the cost of the plane, maintenance costs and storing the plane, you have to worry about retaining the flight crew and all that is involved with ensuring they stay knowledgeable and trained correctly.

All of this can be avoided when chartering a flight through a broker. They worry about everything and all you have to worry about is planning the meeting when you arrive. The plane is taken care of as well as all of the servicing and keeping track of all safety information and keeping the crew and pilots up to date on their training. The broker takes care of everything, from arranging the equipment on board, if you need audio visual equipment to run a meeting, to getting the food and the flight plan filed.

The broker addresses of all of the details and soon you will be on your way, with your colleagues and all of the equipment that you have to have. You can run a meeting as you fly or go over last minute details. The terrific thing is that you won’t be trying to do all of this while waiting for hours in an airport as you wait for your plane to takeoff. You will be prepared, rested and comfortable because you will be flying in a manner that the commercial airlines are not able to furnish.

Every little thing that you would need in an office scenario can be arranged for use on the plane. You can have your meeting; complete with overhead projectors and Wi-Fi capabilities. Anything it is that you and your teammates need, whatever it is that you need to get the job completed, can be provided or arranged to make the flight as productive as it can be. You already have the can-do attitude, now all you will require is for an airline to keep up with you and your schedule.

A private jets charter that is hired for business travel is a wonderful way to preserve valuable meeting time, with employees or business associates. If you would like to hire a luxurious and fast charter jet go to www.privatejetscharter.net today, they have associates who can help you.

UsedAirplanes.com Purchases The Domain Name Flying.com For $1.1 Million

UsedAirplanes.com Purchases The Domain Name Flying.com For $ 1.1 Million

Tampa, FL (PRWEB) April 7, 2010

High value domain names command large premiums because they offer numerous and substantial marketing benefits. These include; a considerable reduction in the branding efforts and expenses due to the obvious affiliation with the word to the market, the frequency and use of the underlying word by the industry, public and target market and the current or potential traffic based on the amount of search queries. For example, “Fly.com” sold for over $ 1.7 million last year.

“Owning a domain name of this caliber will allow us to expand our talents deeper in the aviation business and build upon the success of UsedAirplanes.com. The word “flying” is known and understood by virtually every person and the word is used in every area within the aviation industry. In addition, Google, Yahoo and Bing process approximately 20 million search queries for the word “flying” every month,” stated Mark J Horne, President & CEO of UsedAirplanes, Inc.

The first (beta) version of Flying.com will be launched on June 1, 2010 to display all of the used airplanes and aircraft from the company’s flagship website UsedAirplanes.com. This will provide a new and additional sales channel for the brokers that currently list their inventory on UsedAirplanes.com.

“The amount of traffic Flying.com will generate will obviously enhance the amount of leads our brokers will receive for their used airplanes and aircraft. The brokers put their faith and trust in us when we asked for it and it gives me great pleasure to offer them this additional sales channel,” stated Horne.

The company will spend the remainder of 2010 developing Flying.com into a digital media, aviation-community based website with a strong focus on social media. In addition, Flying.com will be the first website developed from the ground up with Apple’s new iPad format in mind throughout the development.

“With the overwhelming success of the Apple iPad launch over the past few days it is obvious that Steve Jobs has, once again, developed a revolutionary product that makes the users experience far greater through a more enjoyable and user-friendly format. After holding the iPad, seeing the potential for myself, and watching the expressions on the faces of others that had the opportunity to use one, it is clear that one day the device will be on the coffee table of almost every aviators home and in the lobby of every FBO in the world. The iPad (http://www.Apple.com) is really that remarkable,” stated Horne.

When people hear about a product or service they turn to the Internet for real-time reviews, pictures, videos, blogs, buyer and industry ratings and comments and suggestions within the social media avenues. It all comes down to where readers are and where they are going.

“Readers clearly wanted a new way to enhance how they enjoy, share and gather information, send and receive emails and view new media (digital). We are proud to be able to embrace the future and build Flying.com with the iPad in mind while focusing entirely on digital (new) media.

Brokers can sign up to list their inventory on both Flying.com & UsedAirplanes.com by contacting Laura Thompson at 800-533-9390 (ext. 1) or email: Laura(at)Flying(dot)com . A video of Ms. Thompson is available at the website: (http://www.usedairplanes.com/about-us.html).

UsedAirplanes, Inc. is also currently looking to acquire other digital media companies and websites.

World’s Best Helicopters – MD 902 Explorer

By James Man

When people think of business-class charter air vehicles, they usually think of large private jets with cushy seating and lavish amenities. However, helicopters are getting ever-more popular for private travel and some claim that helicopter travel over short distance is far more efficient. and the MD 902 is the perfect example of a large charter helicopter doing the job of a business jet and doing it well.

The MD 902 is the crown jewel of MD Helicopters’ fleet. MD began in 1947 and started introducing helicopters to the aviation market in the 1950s. In 1984, the Summa Corporation sold their stock in the company to McDonnell Douglas, who quickly took MD in a new direction after forking out over $500 million for it.

In the early 1990s, production of the MD Helicopters began, with only two basic models (though there are a few variations within the set models) to date – the MD 900, and the vastly improved MD 902.

The MD helicopter class is known as the Explorer, and improvements started to be made in 1992 in order to produce the 902 that’s still flying in the air today relatively unchanged after 18 years. A high maximum take-off weight was introduced, along with increased range and endurance among other improvements.

The MD 902 is considered to be the perfect transport vehicle for corporate business charter due to its large size. It’s officially the largest helicopter in the light twin-engine class, and its greater fuel capacity means that the MD 902 can easily fly longer distances than every other twin-engine in operation today.

Clients charter this chopper for two primary reasons: long distance travel and short, scenic trips. The MD 902 is a great machine for both, since it’s designed for a smoother flight without turbulence causing disruption, and it’s also able to easily glide and/or hover due to enhanced stability features. The MD 902 has a range of 485 nautical miles and can travel at 180 MPH.

The large helicopter can carry up to 8 passengers comfortably in its cabin, not including the crew. The 52-inch-high doors aren’t exactly ideal for taller passengers, but there’s plenty of room in the cabin, with nearly 6 feet of standing space. There’s even an improved cargo pit that can carry in excess of 3,000 pounds of external load.

As previously stated, there are many variations of the MD 902 Explorer, including: basic passenger transportation, law enforcement/weather surveillance, emergency medical transportation, and the VIP charter business-class service.

To look at it from the outside, the MD 902 appears to be just another helicopter. However, the interior of the business-class Explorer is set up much more like a private jet, with plush reclining seating, entertainment options, and its cabin is specifically designed to reduce the noise.

Luscombe Airplane “WIN ME” Early Bird Cash Drawing Closes 11-15-10

Luscombe Airplane “WIN ME” Early Bird Cash Drawing Closes 11-15-10

Gilbert, Arizona (PRWEB) November 2, 2010

The Luscombe Endowment continues its preservation missions for which it was formed by preserving a significant part of America’s aviation industrial heritage, and delivering technical support to Luscombe Owners. The Luscombe Endowment’s work as a non-Profit organization includes the same fleet support established from 1993 through 2004 by DLAHF.

Don Luscombe pioneered the enclosed cabin monoplane in the 1920′s and 1930′s with the Monocoupe airplanes. He then developed the personal metal airplane market with the Luscombe Phantom, Silvaire and Sedan models from 1933 into the 1940′s. Luscombe revolutionized the light aircraft industry twice in his aviation lifetime. Other manufacturers (Cessna, Piper, and Beech) were forced to develop metal aircraft designs to compete with his advances in metal monococque construction and airplane durability. Don Luscombe’s aviation legacy remains flying throughout the world.

Luscombe Endowment has arranged for the continued production of parts. Its effort is supplemented by a parts exchange program, and fostered by access to knowledgeable technical support for Luscombe owners who wish to maintain or restore their airplanes; thus preserving the legacy that Don Luscombe left America.

Fundraising by the WIN ME drawing supports these efforts and promotes their expansion. Both customers and historians have praised these efforts as both necessary to the fleet and unique to preservation of American history.

Drawing details and ticket purchase options are available at http://www.luscombe.org.

Aspen Avionics Receives Approved Model List STC From FAA

Aspen Avionics Logo

Albuquerque, NM (PRWEB) March 30, 2008

Aspen Avionics today received from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) its Approved Model List Supplemental Type Certificate (AML-STC) for the EFD1000 Primary Flight Display (PFD). This certification, combined with the TSO (Technical Standard Order) certification granted to the company two weeks ago, authorizes installation of Aspen’s Evolution PFD in almost 400 airplane makes and models.

Coming before the end of March 2008, this AML-STC enables Aspen Avionics to start shipping, and its dealers to start installing, Evolution Flight Display systems by March 31st, fulfilling the company’s promise to its customers.

Today’s AML encompasses nearly 400 individual aircraft models representing the majority of single-engine airplanes in the general aviation fleet, and all of its most popular models. Aspen is continuing to work with the FAA to expand this initial AML to add most remaining Class I and Class II airplanes (those under 6,000 pounds) over the next few months.

“The Evolution PFD is the first practical and affordable way to bring state-of-the-art glass cockpit benefits to the bulk of the general aviation fleet,” said John Uczekaj, Aspen Avionics’ President and CEO. “As we continue to expand the number, classes and types of aircraft covered by our AML,” he continued, “soon anyone who wants to move up to a glass cockpit will be able to do so.”

With TSO and AML-STC certifications and production authorization in hand, Aspen and its more than 300 authorized avionics dealers are ready to begin installing the EFD1000 PFD system in customer airplanes. Demand for the product has been exceptionally strong since its introduction in Oshkosh last summer, and many have eagerly anticipated this day when they can now install the Evolution system in their airplanes.

The complete Approved Model List and STC are available now at www.aspenavionics.com/approvals, and new models will be added regularly over the next few months.
